05 — Our approach

Music isn't one-dimensional

So we don't teach it that way. Lessons flex to each student's needs — whether that's mastering a single instrument or building a broader skill set.

  • We take real pride in helping students learn to accompany themselves — playing an instrument while singing.
  • We encourage students to learn 2–3 instruments at a time.
  • We lean toward pop, R&B and soul, with a modern lens shaped by our own experience as working musicians and producers.
  • At the core, it's always about what works best for the student in front of us.

07 — FAQ

Lesson questions

Who are your lessons for?

Aspiring musicians who want to grow, whether you're building your skills, writing your own songs or getting ready to record. Lessons flex to each student — it's always about what works best for the student in front of us. For young kids who are just starting out, see our sister studio, OC Room2Stage.

Which instruments can I learn?

Piano, guitar, ukulele, voice, drums and bass, plus songwriting, music theory and production.

Do you offer online lessons?

Yes. Voice, songwriting and guitar lessons are available online, so you can learn from anywhere, including Los Angeles. Every lesson we offer is also taught in person in our Newport Beach home studio.

Can I add lessons to a studio package?

Yes. Lessons are part of what we do, not a separate program. The 8-Hour Studio + Lessons package pairs 8 hours of studio time with four 60-minute lessons, and Full Artist Development includes lessons too. You can also book lessons on their own. See the packages.

Can I learn more than one instrument?

Yes. We encourage students to learn 2–3 instruments at a time, and we take real pride in helping students learn to accompany themselves — playing an instrument while singing.

What styles of music do you teach?

We lean toward pop, R&B and soul, and we bring a modern lens to lessons, shaped by our own experience as working musicians and producers.
